The purpose of the research is looking for The Influence Between Watching Movies Habit toward Vocabulary Mastery.The problem of this study was, what is the influence between watching movies habit toward vocabulary mastery. The population in this research was all of the sixth semester students of english study program in STAIN Palangka Raya who took vocabulary class with the number 100 students and the number of sample were59 students that was choosen using cluster sampling. The approach of the study was the quantitative approach withex post facto design.The writer tries to explore or study the relationship between influence as independent variable and vocabulary mastery as dependent variable.The research did not give a treatment, but collecting data to see the influence. The data were collected using test and questionnaire, and were analyzed using product moment formula (PPM) and SPSS 16 program.
The result of the research showed there was influence between both variable watching movies habit toward vocabulary mastery low and weak influence. The value rxy 0,278 so, that Ha was received and Ho was rejected. Based on df calculation was found 0,261< 0,278< 0,338, so, it meant that there was low influence but influence was positive. The calculation contribution of variable X and variable Y showed that value of KP was 7,7284% it meant contribution variable was able to contribute to variable Y, and 92,2716 % was influenced by other aspect. Based on the calculation of t value was 2,185 and t table to significant 5 % was 2,004 and 1% was 2,668. It meant t value was higher than 5% but it was smaller than 1% (2,004
